Sears and Amazon Expand on Auto Center Partnership
Struggling retailer Sears announced this week that it and e-commerce giant Amazon have expanded on their Auto Center partnership to add more stores.
Tires ordered through Amazon.com are able to be installed at Auto Centers with the partnership and now the service will expand to even more Sears stores. Currently over 100 locations are offering the service.
A total of 71 shops have been added to the program which previously had 47 Sears Auto Centers.
Customers are able to have their tires shipped to Auto Centers which are then installed by Sears’ employees for a small fee.
Wall Street was loving the news as Sears shares jumped as much as 12% in pre market trading on Tuesday.
