Back in 2013, Pepsico, Inc. bought a minority stake in KeVita. According to PepsiCo, KeVita offers two dozen flavors of probiotic drinks, all of which are “certified organic, gluten-free, and vegan.”

The beverage giant just fully acquired Kevita for $200 million. This figure is less than the $500 million that rumors said would be the price.

PepsiCo has revealed that KaVita beverages will also help the company reach its 2025 goal of “Two-thirds of beverage portfolio volume 100 calories or fewer from added sugars per 12-ounce serving.”

In the past, PepsiCo has acquired Tropicana, Quaker Oats (which includes Gatorade), and Naked Juice.
