Oracle to Add 1,000 Employees In These Areas
Oracle Corp. announced this week that it would be adding 1,000 employees in its cloud computing space in the Middle East and Africa and Europe.
The company is seeking sales representatives who have two to six years of experience in these categories: human resources, recruitment, marketing, supply chain or sales roles, and finance.
It was roughly a month ago that the company reported its Cloud Software as a Service revenue had seen an increase of 61% for the full year. Revenue in the area was $3.2 billion. Both Cloud Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service were also up 60% to hit revenue of $1.4 billion. The company’s total cloud revenue hit $4.6 billion.
“Our cloud business is growing at incredible rates, so now is the right time to bring in a new generation of talent to our company,” said Tino Scholman, the VP of Oracle Cloud In EMEA.
In other news, the company also just released its biggest set of security updates. Oracle has recommended that its users apply the company’s July security update which fixes 308 bugs across many products.
