Nike Pulls All Kobe Bryant Merchandise to Avoid This
In the wake of Kobe Bryant’s tragic death this past weekend, sport apparel company Nike has decided to stop selling any of the NBA legend’s merchandise on its website.
The retailer’s move is in an attempt to stop resellers from profiting on Bryant’s death according to a report from ESPN who cited company sources.
When searching for merchandise on Nike’s website, customers are now directed to a statement from the company about Bryant’s death.
Nike called the five-time NBA champion “one of the greatest athletes of his generation.”
“We extend our deepest sympathies to those closest to Kobe, especially his family and friends,” the company wrote.
“He was a beloved member of the Nike family. We will miss him greatly. Mamba Forever,” they also said.
