McDonald’s Just Added GrubHub as Delivery Partner in NYC Area
McDonald’s has a new way of getting its Big Macs and Mcnuggets to customers in New York City.
The fast food giant has added GrubHub as its latest delivery partner for the city.
Roughly 500 McDonald’s locations in New York City and the tri-state area will be launching delivery on GrubHub and its New York brand, Seamless.
Technomic has found thart GrubHub possesses a 71% share of delivery sales in the Big Apple.
GrubHub is McDonald’s newest delivery partner as the fast-food giant looks to make delivery a $4 billion business for the company this year.
It was in July that McDonald’s ended its exclusivity with UberEats when it began testing a partnership with competitor DoorDash.
Not too long ago McDonald’s said it would launch its DoorDash partnership nationwide.
SunTrust Robinson Humphrey analyst Jake Bartlett recentyl said that falling yields have boosted the major fast-food names.
“The asset-light fast food companies are attracting investors because they are valued as ‘bond proxies’ with their FCF [free-cash flow] yields more attractive as bond yields fall, are relatively insulated from wage and commodity cost inflation, and tend to gain market share in recessions (trade down),” said Robinson.
