Lands’ End (LE) Just Landed A Major Deal With Delta (DAL)

Lands’ End has just reeled in a huge clothing contract with Delta Air Lines, the second largest airline, to manufacture uniforms for 60,000 employees.

The company will be producing uniforms for the “above-wing” staff and the “below-wing” staff. The above-wing staff includes gate agents and airport customer service ticket agents, while the below-wing staff includes airport customer service, ground service equipment maintenance and Delta cargo and Delta TechOps employees.

The uniforms will be manufactured by Lands End’ but were designed by designer Zac Posen.

Gil West, Delta’s senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, said in a statement, “Fit, form, function and style are all integral to the uniforms for Delta people, and Lands’ End is the right partner to deliver on these things.”

Joe Ferreri, senior vice president of Lands’ End Outfitters commented, “We are honored to collaborate with Delta Air Lines and be the supplier of their below-wing and above-wing uniforms.”
