Jim Carrey Wants You To Get Rid Of Your Facebook For This Reason

Comedian and actor Jim Carrey has been pretty vocal about how he feels about politics and our current administration.

He also has been very vocal with how he feels about social media giant Facebook and has told people they should delete their accounts and dump their Facebook shares.

He tweeted this month that he was selling his Facebook stock and deleting his page because the company had profited from Russian interference during the 2016 U.S. election. He added the hashtag #unfriendfacebook to the tweet.

He said to CNBC, “We must encourage more oversight by the owners of these social media platforms. This easy access has to be more responsibly handled. What we need now are activist investors to send a message that responsible oversight is needed. What the world needs now is capitalism with a conscience.”
