If You Are With Verizon You Could Get Disney+ For Free
Many new and old Verizon customers will be excited to learn that they could receive Disney’s new streaming service Disney+ for free for a whole year.
Verizon will offer all new and existing Verizon Wireless unlimited customers, new Fios home internet customers and new 5G home internet customers a year of Disney+ for free.
Disney’s new service is expected to launch in November on the 12th and will cost $6.99 a month. The service will be available on the iPhone, Android, Roku, Xbox and PS4, and will allow customers to download videos for watching offline.
Verizon also noted that people who already pre-ordered the Disney+ service are still eligible. The “purchase will be put on pause and resume after the Verizon promo period,” a Verizon spokesperson told CNBC.
Netflix shares fell on the announcement.
Verizon said customers will be able to activate and watch Disney+ on any platform. Customers can sign up on Verizon’s Disney+ page.
“Giving Verizon customers an unprecedented offer and access to Disney+ on the platform of their choice is yet another example of our commitment to provide the best premium content available through key partnerships on behalf of our customers,” said Verizon Chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg.
“Our work with Disney extends beyond Disney+ as we bring the power of 5G Ultra Wideband technology to the entertainment industry through exciting initiatives with Disney Innovation Studios and in the parks,” he added.
“The launch of Disney+ kicks off a new era of streaming for The Walt Disney Company, bringing nearly a century’s worth of content from our iconic studios to consumers directly,” said Kevin Mayer, Chairman, Direct-to-Consumer & International, The Walt Disney Company.
“We’re excited to share this moment with Verizon and bring Disney+ to the millions of customers across its award-winning wireless network.”
