Here’s What To Expect At Apple’s (AAPL) Big Event

Posted on

Apple is going to hold its annual fall media event in San Francisco this week. This is the event that many are hoping will introduce us to the new iPhone 7. Though it most likely be the main attraction, the company will also be introducing a new version of the Apple Watch, as well as software updates for all of the company’s products.

One of the biggest rumors about the new iPhone is that the 3.5mm headphone jack is removed. The company is rumored to remove it in favor embracing wireless headphones. This means new headphones will need to be purchased that are compatible, or an adapter that would let you connect your existing earbuds to it. It’s no surprise that a lot of people are not happy with this rumor.

The next versions of four of the company’s operating systems are expected to be released in the fall, and usually roll out a week or two after the event.

Software updates iOS 10 is also highly anticipated and the tech giant is adding a gimmick-filled update to Messenger as well as an upgrade to the Photos app that adds facial recognition and automatically generates movies.

The event kicks off tomorrow on September 7th.
