Cool New Feature On Facebook’s (FB) Instagram

According to The Verge, Instagram will be adding a built-in translation feature next month. This means no more googling to find out what your foreign friend’s picture says underneath.

Instagram wont have you missing out on anything again with this new translation feature. It is set to translate comments, captions, and user bios for now.

All Instagram users will have to do is tap “See translation” under the text once the feature rolls out.

Unfortunately it may not translate text on older posts or languages in cannot detect or does not support.

“The Instagram community has grown faster and become more global than we ever imagined,” the social media giant posted from their own account. “And we’re excited that you’ll soon be able to understand the full story of a moment, no matter what language you speak.”

Instagram just reached a 500 million-user milestone, with over 80% of users outside the US.
