Facebook Just Announced Something That Could Rival YouTube
Facebook revealed something big on Wednesday that could have YouTube shaking in its boots.
The social media giant has revealed Watch, a social network it plans to offer users so they can watch videos.
Watch will allow users to discover videos that are outside of their feed more easily. With the service they can create Watchlists so they can follow videos by their favorite publishers or bands and artists.
There has been no disclosure of when the feature will be released but it will only be available to a limited amount of users in the U.S. first.
Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg had recently told CNBC in an interview, “We are making some early investments to create episodic content.”
