Elon Musk Just Revealed What His Net Worth Is

Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk revealed in his second day of testimony in a defamation trial, that he didn’t know what his own net worth is.

The CEO testified under oath that it may be $20 billion, including SpaceX and Tesla shares, but not much cash.

Musk has been hit with a defamation lawsuit by diver Vernon Unsworth, who was called a “pedo guy” and “child rapist” by the Tesla executive via tweets and in emails to reporters.

Unsworth stands to win around $75,000 if the court finds Musk defamed him and caused him damages. The jury could go even higher if they deem it appropriate.

Musk apologized for the tweet during his first day of testimony in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. According to Musk, Unsworth had picked a fight with him and that by “pedo guy” he meant “creepy old man.”

It was in the summer of 2018 that Unsworth, an expert diver, led the rescue of 12 boys and their soccer coach from a flooded cave in Thailand.

Unsworth’s attorney L. Lin Wood asked Musk on Wednesday whether Musk believed his “pedo guy” comment impacted Tesla shares. Musk admitted that he “received concerned notes from shareholders.”
