Ebay Could Offer Bitcoin Soon As a Payment Option

E-commerce gial eBay may soon be allowing buyers to pay for their items with bitcoin.

While the auction website already has plenty of bitcoin related items, you still can’t pay for them using the cryptocurrency that has been making and breaking records all year.

According to the company’s senior vice president of eBay America, Scott Cutler, eBay is seriously “considering” accepting bitcoin. He told Yahoo Finance however that “we’re not quite there yet.”

More and more companies are looking at bitcoin as they recognize the fast growth the digital currency has seen this year.

Overstock.com has seen its shares rally over 250% in the last six months on bitcoin related news. The retailer has been allowing the acceptance of bitcoin as payment since early 2014.
