Dunkin’ Releases a Bag of Bacon As a New Snack

While Beyond Meat might be making headlines for its meatless meat being incorporated into the menu of many fast food restaurants, Dunkin’ is not on the bandwagon.

This week Dunkin released a very meaty snack called Snackin’ Bacon. It is now available at the company’s restaurants nationwide. The snack consists of eight half-strips of bacon that are wrapped up in a sleeve. This is high-end bacon smoked with natural cherrywood that has been treated with brown sugar and black pepper seasoning.

“Here at Dunkin’, we’ve been working hard to formulate the perfect afternoon pick-me-up and really, what’s better than a bag full of bacon?” the company blogged.

Dunkin’ revealed that the bacon is the same used in its Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Breakfast Sandwich.

“With its classic flavors featured in everything from toothpaste to vodka, bacon is a phenomenon. But, at Dunkin’, we believe the best way to enjoy bacon is simple: eat it.”

Dunkin’ has also launched a Beyond Meat breakfast sandwich nationally last November.
