Disney+ Now Has This Many Downloads on Mobile Devices

According to an independent app tracking company called Apptopia, Disney+ has passed 22 million downloads on mobile devices since it launched in November.

Apptopia has reported that the app has averaged 9.5 million daily active mobile users.

Google’s annual search trends list also reported on Wednesday that Disney+ was the top trending search in the U.S. in 2019.

Disney had said last month that it had 10 million signups on its very first day of the launch.

Apptopia measures mobile downloads and usage, and does not include usage on devices like smart TVs, Roku boxes, Apple TV or desktop web browsers.

It will be Disney’s next quarterly report when we find out the company’s numbers.

According to Apptopia, the strong start for Disney+ doesn’t seem to be hurting mobile traffic to rival streaming apps.

The firm also reported that the discounted bundle that includes Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ for $12.99 per month has boosted new installs of those apps as well. Apptopia said that “we believe Roku is seeing more engagement due to people watching a lot of Disney+.”
