Burger King Officially Launches Plant-based Impossible Croissan’wich Nationwide

Posted on

The plant-based Croissan’wich is finally here for a limited time at a price of $3.99.

After Burger King tested the new plant-based breakfast sandwich in select U.S. cities, the fast food giant has now launched it nationwide.

The Impossible Croissan’wich features the same ingredients as the original version such as a toasted croissant, egg, and cheese, but will instead have the Impossible Foods plant-based sausage patty.

This new menu item makes Burger King the first national restaurant to offer an Impossible breakfast plant-based patty on a breakfast sandwich.

The company will be giving away up to 100,000 Impossible Croissan’wich sandwiches through the BK App to all night owls. All night owls can claim a free Impossible Croissan’wich via the BK App, which can be redeemed at participating U.S. restaurants; a minimum $1 purchase is required.

It was last August that the company launched its Impossible plant-based Whopper.

Burger King parent company Restaurant Brands International (QSR) reported nearly 5% same-store sales growth at Burger King stores following the rollout.

Restaurant Brands however announced at the end of May that Burger King U.S. same-store sales were trending in negative mid-single digits, after being in the negative low-thirties in the second half of March.

Shares of Restaurant Brands were down more than 12% this year.
