Bank of America Has Pissed A Lot of People Off With This New Fee
Bank of America is now requiring that checking accounts that used to be free, have a $12 monthly fee, unless the person has a direct monthly deposit of $250 or more or maintains a minimum of $1,500 in their account on a daily balance.
Many customers are angry, and consumers with low balances are even protesting to keep free checking.
Mel San has launched a petition on Change.org that asks Bank of America to drop the requirements. He stated, “Bank of America was known to care for both their high income and low income customers. This is what made Bank of America different. I urge you to let Bank of America realize that this is unfair to their customers that have been loyal to them for years.”
The petition so far has drawn more than 46,000 signers as of Tuesday.
