Apple’s App Store Hit This Record on New Year’s Day
Tech giant Apple’s App store saw its sales hit a record $300 million on the first day of 2018.
This was a 25% increase compared to New Year’s Day in 2017. Last year consumers had spent $240 million.
The money spent on the first day of 2018 was the most the App Store has ever seen in just one single day since the store launched roughly a decade ago.
According to Apple, from Christmas to New Year’s, consumers had spent $890 million on apps.
The hit game Pokemon Go was once again the top app of the year.
