Apple Just Bought a New Show From NBA Player Kevin Durant

The television show “Swagger” from NBA superstar Kevin Durant, has just been bought by Apple and will be available in the company’s library of original TV shows.

The show, which is based on Durant’s experiences playing youth basketball, has been given the green light by Apple according to a source close to the situation.

“Swagger,” is co-produced by Imagine Television, CBS Television Studios and Durant’s Thirty Five Ventures. The show will be set in Washington D.C.’s AAU basketball league.

Reggie Rock Bythewood from “Shots Fired” and Notorious”, will act as show runner while Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo from “Empire”, Kevin Durant, Rich Kleiman and Reggie Rock Bythewood will serve as executive producers.

Apple plans to spend at least $1 billion this year on content, said sources. The iPhone maker has also signed deals with Oprah, Sesame Workshop and entertainment company A24.
