A YouTube Star Has Been Working with Apple in Secret

YouTube sensation, Mark Rober, does more than just upload his DIY science stunts onto the video platform.
He also works for Apple in secret.

Rober, who has over 3.4 million followers on his YouTube channel, is helping Apple develop virtual reality for entertainment in self-driving vehicles and several patent applications have already been filed by the iPhone maker this year with Rober’s name.

Two patents, one for “immersive virtual display” and the other for “augmented virtual display” could be used in self driving vehicles by the passengers.

According to Variety reports, Rober is a product design engineer for Apple.

It may not have been that much of a secret as Rober had told fans a year ago that he was working at “a large tech company in the Bay Area” but did not specify which company. He also had said, “I work on the team formulating products that haven’t been released.”
