YouTube Updated its Policy to Crack Down on This
Google owned YouTube wants to crack down on insulting videos and to do this, it has updated its harassment policy.
YouTube says it will no longer allow anyone to post content that “maliciously insults” others based on protected traits like race, gender expression and sexual orientation.
The company is also allowing creators to moderate some potentially inappropriate comments and suspend monetization for creators who “repeatedly brush up against our harassment policy.”
YouTube’s policy updates also points out that the company will now suspend members of its YouTube Partner Program for channels “that repeatedly brush up against our harassment policy.”
YouTube may also consider removing content from the channel and potentially terminating the channel if the behavior continues.
