Tyson is Recalling Nearly 70,000 Pounds of Chicken Strips for This Scary Reason

The last thing you want in your chicken strip is a piece of metal.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, Tyson is recalling almost 70,000 pounds of its ready-to-eat chicken strips after a report of metal pieces being found in them.

Two consumers had complained about finding the metal in their meals.

According to the company’s website, there has not been any adverse reactions or injuries reported.

The frozen strips in the recall were produced on November 30th of last year and have “best by” dates of November 30th, 2019. Products include the company’s 25-ounce bags of fully cooked and frozen buffalo-style chicken strips, 25-ounce bags of fully cooked crispy chicken strips, and cases of Spare Time fully cooked, buffalo-style chicken strips. The products to be recalled have “P-7221″ on the back of the packaging.

If you have any of the products, Tyson is advising that you throw them away or return them to the place you purchased them from.

It was just this past January that Tyson also recalled over 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets for complaints of rubber in them.
