Two Senators Are Pissed At Yahoo Over This
Senator John Thune, R-South Dakota, and Jerry Moran, R-Kansas, are upset with Yahoo for not being candid enough about its massive data breaches.
The senators sent Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer a letter dated February 10th, complaining about the company’s lack of “answers to many basic questions.”
The senators wrote, “Moreover, Yahoo!’s recent, last-minute cancellation of a planned congressional staff briefing, originally scheduled for January 31, 2017, has prompted concerns about the company’s willingness to deal with Congress with complete candor about these recent events.”
The letter includes five questions that the senators want answered by February 23rd.
A Yahoo spokesman told SiliconBeat in an email on Monday, “We’re in receipt of the letter, reviewing it and will respond as appropriate.”
