Two Retailers Have Tied for America’s Favorite Store for Value
It’s no surprise that brick and mortar stores have struggled as online sales have seen dramatic growth in recent years.
There are still however some stores that have seen success due to their discounts and the value they offer customers.
According to Nicole Reyle of Retailminded.com, “It’s a value-driven experience where people feel they are hunting, capturing a huge find, and there’s a sense of accomplishment that shoppers feel.”
A recent retails survey by Market Force Information has found that two stores have tied as the favorite store for value.
The survey had over 10,000 consumer respondents and will be released later this month.
Yahoo Finance has learned that the results of the survey have revealed that Target and TJ Maxx are tied as the favorite value retailer of consumers.
Right behind these stores are Nordstrom Rack, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Ross, and Walmart.
“Chic cheap is in. People continue to want designer products, but don’t want to pay top dollar for it, and Target has always had a tie-in with high-end designers,” remarked Joe Hancock, who is a fashion
merchandising professor at Drexel. He also used to work at Target corporate.
