Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter Inc. and Square Inc., is making a substantial donation to Colin Kaepernick’s organization.

Dorsey said this week that he is donating $3 million to Know Your Rights Camp, the organization of the former NFL player.

Kaepernick is best known for his time playing for the San Francisco 49ers. He was the first to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police killings against black people.

The grant from Dorsey will help “advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization to elevate the next generation of change leaders.”

The Know Your Rights Camp recently tweeted, “The @kaepernick7 Know Your Rights Camp Legal Defense Initiative is now helping arrested Freedom Fighters NATIONWIDE! We’re also working w/ our lawyers to file civil rights cases against the police for their terroristic acts. More info/donate http://knowyourrightscamp.com/legal #wegotus”

Google CEO Sundar Pichai also announced this week that his company would provide $12 million in funding to organizations working to address racial inequities.
