This Tweet From Obama Broke the Internet
While many waited for poignant and heartfelt words from President Trump over the Charlottesville protesting, it was former president Barack Obama that nailed it on his own Twitter feed.
He wrote a tweet in response to Saturday’s white nationalist rally in Virginia and it became the most liked tweet ever.
By late Tuesday night, Obama’s tweet had 2.8 million likes.
The previous record holder for most liked tweet was Ariana Grande when she tweeted following the attack on Manchester at her concert.
So what did Obama’s most liked tweet read?
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion….”
So simple, yet to the point and speaks volumes in truth.
With the tweet, Obama added a picture of himself with a group of children from 2011. It was captured by former White House photographer Pete Souza at a day care facility that was next to his daughter Sasha’s school in Maryland.
