This CEO Says Bitcoin Will Hit $50,000 By End of Year

Arthur Hayes, the CEO of BitMEX, spoke to CNBC this week about where he thinks bitcoin will head to by the end of this year.

According to Hayes, the world’s leading cryptocurrency will hit $50,000 by the end of 2018.

Hayes, who graduated from the Wharton School of Business, lived in Hong Kong after graduation and was a top trader for Citigroup as well as Deutsche Bank.

He is now the CEO of BitMEX, which is the world’s largest bitcoin trading platform based in Hong Kong. It offers 100x leveraged trading of the digital currency as well as bitcoin futures and waps. It also offers altcoin futures for Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and Bitcoin Cash.

Maybe Hayes is to be taken seriously as he rode up to the Consensus 2018 summit in NYC in an orange Lamborghini.

He tweeted on Monday, “Did you see my ride today at #Consensus2018?”
