Oprah is Now Richer Than the President Because of this Stock

With the help of her stake in Weight Watchers, media mogul Oprah Winfrey now has more money than our president, Mr. Donald Trump.

Winfrey herself has been speculated to be in the running for the 2020 presidential run.

Winfrey now has a net worth of $3.7 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Trump has a networth of $2.9 billion.

The boost in Winfrey’s net worth is thanks to the 10% investment she has in Weight Watchers.

It was in 2015 that Oprah joined the board of Weight Watchers and bought 6,363,103 shares at an average price of $6.79 a share. The stock has gained over 350% since then.

The stock is now trading over $55 a share and now Winfrey’s stake is valued at around $349 million. She has made $306 million in gains.
