It has been a year since Nike began its “Dream Crazy” campaign that features Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

At Sunday’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Nike took home an award for “outstanding commercial.” It was the first win for the sport apparel retailer since 2002.

Other prominent athletes included in the cmapaign were LeBron James and Serena Williams

The commercial was revealed last September and drew a slew of criticism from some people. It even prompted the hashtag #NikeBoyCott on Twitter with some customers burning their Nike shoes in anger.

Kaepernick rose to fame for not standing for the national anthem during a National Football League preseason game back in 2016. He kneeled in protest of racial injustice and continued to do so for the 2016 season. He has been out of the NFL since the end of the 2016 season.
