Star Wars and Marvel fans may have something to celebrate. It was revealed this week that Marvel’s Kevin Feige will be helping to produce a ‘Star Wars’ movie.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Feige will be lending his producing talents to the new project. Feige has been the president of Marvel Studios since 2007.

“With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy (Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy) is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together,” Alan Horn, Walt Disney Studios co-chairman and chief creative officer, told The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hollywood Reporter has also said that Feige has told an unnamed “major actor” that he has a specific role in mind for them when the movie gets made.

Disney is already working on two Star Wars trilogies with one being called “The Last Jedi” with director Rian Johnson on board and another with”Game of Thrones” showrunner Rian Johnson.

Disney is set to release its streaming platform Disney+ in the next few weeks and is ramping up its Star Wars offerings.

Executive producer Jon Favreau along with Dave Filoni are working on a live-action Star Wars space Western called “The Mandalorian.”

Disney is also launching a “Rogue One” prequel series that will center on Cassian Andor and K2-SO, as well as an Obi-Wan Kenobi series featuring Ewan McGregor.
