Netflix Just Poached Activision Blizzard’s CFO
According to a source that spoke to Reuters, Netflix has a new CFO it will be announcing soon and its one that was poached from video game company Activision Blizzard.
The streaming giant is expected to announce that Spencer Neumann is its new chief financial officer in the coming days. It was on Monday that Activision Blizzard said in a filing that it was planning to fire Neumann. The company said it intended to ” terminate Neumann “for cause unrelated to the company’s financial reporting or disclosure controls and procedures.” The filing also said that Neumann had been placed on paid leave.
According to the source, Neumann will begin with Netflix early this year. David Wells said this past August he woud be stepping down as CFO.
Neumann has previously held a finance role at Walt Disney.
Netflix also recently poached ABC’s Channing Dungey for a creative role at the company.
