According to streaming giant Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph, he “loves what’s happening” with the streaming wars.

“As a consumer of television and movies, I love what’s happening,” said Randolph to CNBC.

Though Randolph left Netflix in 2003, he still owns shares of the company.

“As a consumer of television and movies, I love what’s happening,” Randolph said on “Closing Bell.” “I certainly don’t only watch Netflix. I enjoy the fact there is multiple companies producing content. I think it’s great for consumers.”

Apple is about to launch its own streaming service on November 1st called Apple TV+. DIsney is also launching its new service in November.

This week NBCUniversal announced its streaming service will be called Peacock and will launch next April.
“I hope there’s a lot of room” for all the services to exist, said Randolph.

Randolph’s new book “That Will Never Work: The Birth of Netflix and the Amazing Life of an Idea” was published on Tuesday.

“I don’t know what Netflix has up its sleeve, but I know culturally it is extremely well situated to do a great job in these coming years,” he said.
