Microsoft Announces Huge Event For Next Month

Only a few more weeks to go until Microsoft unveils a new hardware and software.

The tech company is going to introduce both at an event that will take place in New York City on May 2nd.

Microsoft has already sent out press invites for the event and according to a person familiar with the plans, the hardware and software will both be unveiled at it.

There has been no word on when the Surface Pro 5 tablet will be released, nor any word on the rumored Surface Phone.

The press invite which reads “Learn What’s Next” also uses the hashtag “MicrosoftEDU.”

We could be seeing something about Windows 10 Cloud at the event, as its been rumored the company is working on that. It’s a new Windows 10 SKU that is locked down and restricted to only running apps from the Windows Store.

ZDNet reported recently that Microsoft’s event is codenamed “Bespin,” which is a fictional Star Wars planet that includes a “Cloud City.” This could mean Windows 10 Cloud will be a big part of the event.

The event will begin at 9:30AM ET on May 2nd.
