Man Wanted In Connection To NYC Explosion Is Caught

28-year old Ahmad Khan Rahami has been taken into custody after being found connected to the bombings that took place in New York City and New Jersey this past weekend. One took place at Seaside Park, N.J., and another took place on West 23rd Street in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood where 29 people were injured.

The suspect was shot in the arm and was taken away from the scene in an ambulance. At least one police officer was wounded during his arrest.

Rahami is a U.S citizen of Afghan descent and was born in Afghanistan on January 23rd, 1988.

Five explosive devices were found at a train station on Sunday night in Elizabeth, N.J., which is his last known address.

According to the New York Times, Rahami and his brothers worked at a fried chicken restaurant run by his father in Elizabeth.
