Luke Perry Dies After Massive Stroke at 52

Former “90210” and “Riverdale” star Luke Perry, has passed away this week at the age of 52.

The death of the former heartthrob has shocked many fans and celebrities.

According to TMZ, Perry passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank.

A rep for the star has said that he was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, as well as his fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.

Perry had been rushed to the hospital last Wednesday from his Sherman Oaks, CA home. When EMT’s arrived at his house, he was responsive and talking but his condition became worse.

Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty on “Riverdale,” commented, “I’m finding it hard to grasp that he will no longer be around to give long hugs and share his wisdom and kindness with all of us.” Lili followed with another tweet saying, “I just can’t believe it.”

Perry’s rep has said, “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world. No further details will be released at this time.”

“Riverdale” execs tell TMZ, “Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all.”

The show has dedicated season 3 to the star.

Execs also said, “A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast, Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke’s family during this most difficult time.”
