The Launch Of Galaxy S8 Is The Best Samsung Has Ever Seen
According to Samsung, the launch of the Galaxy S8 out pacd the Galaxy S7 by 30 percent. The company announced on Monday that pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 outpaced pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 making it the company’s “best ever” launch of a smartphone.
The new smartphone is now available online and in carrier stores. What a good thing for the company to see such a surge in orders as the Galaxy Note 7 was a mess. The Galaxy Note 7 had been recalled due to faulty batteries which were prone to catching fire.
Seeing a record setting pre-order launch for the Galaxy S8 means that consumers may be finally forgetting the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Although, it did take weeks for the battery issues on that model to start happening. Hopefully that won’t be the case this time. According to Samsung, the company has tested the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ to prevent similar problems this time around.
Samsung Electronics America president and chief operating officer Tim Baxter said, “At Samsung, we believe it is a privilege to make groundbreaking products that are enjoyed by millions, and have recommitted ourselves to innovate, not only with new products and services, but also in process.”
“The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are a result of that recommitment and the market has responded – with a more than 30 percent year-over-year growth in pre-orders versus the record pre-orders we had with Galaxy S7, making it our best ever.”
Samsung also announced that it would soon be rolling out an update as well that would fix issues that cause some of the new smartphone’s displays to appear red.
