Larry Page Had A Weird Meeting With Twitter’s (NYSE: TWTR) CEO
A Vanity Fair article written by Nick Bilton has revealed an interesting meeting that took place between Jack Dorsey, Square and Twitter CEO, and Larry Page, former Google CEO.
What could have been straight out of a cheesy Hollywood movie scene, Page sat Dorsey down at the Google campus in a large conference room. He drew the blinds and while sitting eerily close to Dorsey, whispered an acquisition offer into his ear.
This all transpired when Page still ran Google and wanted Twitter in order to integrate tweets into Google search results. Dorsey said no.
Could Google be ready to try again? Speculations have risen that Facebook or Google may be in the running to acquire the troubled social network.
