Richard Liu, Chinese JD.com’s billionaire CEO, was arrested this past Friday in the states according to police records.

He was charged for criminal sexual conduct and was released a day later.

JD.com said on Sunday on China’s social media platform Weibo that the accusations against its leader were false. The company’s statement said that Liu was in the United States on business, and that the local police had found no evidence of misconduct. JD.com also said that Mr. Liu’s trip would continue as planned.

The jail roster for the Hennepin County Sheriff’s office said that Liu, was taken into custody by the Minneapolis police late Friday and freed Saturday afternoon.

Liu was a registered student at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management China Doctor of Business Administration program. Participants of the program were in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area from August 26 to September 1 as part of their residency.

The university’s website says that the program is for “top-level executives” working full-time in China.

Not too long ago Mr. Liu had a sexual assault happen at his penthouse in Australia. Guest Longwei Xu had been convicted of sexual assault and Liu had asked the Australian court to prevent the release of his name by citing damage to his marriage and business, court documents show. Last month a judge rejected his request for a suppression order.
