More bad news for Boeing as Indonesia Garuda has canceled its order for 49 Boeing 737 Max jets.

According to a report from CNBC which Reuters contributed to, the airline announced on Friday that it is requesting a cancellation to its current order for 49 Boeing 737 Max jets.

Reuters cited Garuda’s CFO, who said the company may change its 737 Max order to another type of Boeing jet.

Since the deadly Ethiopian airline crash, Boeing’s planes have been grounded in many countries including the United States.

Boeing’s 737 Max 8 has been involved in two fatal crashes now in the last several months.

It was a Boeing 737 Max 8 operated by Indonesia’s Lion Air that crashed into the Java Sea last October. The crash killed 189 people.

The Ethiopian Airlines crash killed 57 people.

According to pilots’ unions spokesmen for two American carriers who spoke to CNN, pilots transitioning to the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft from older 737 models were given a short, self-administered online course.

“The course was not instructor-led. It was self-administered,” said Mike Trevino, a spokesman for the union.

“The set course took pilots approximately three hours to complete,” Trevino said.

“MCAS was installed in the aircraft and Boeing didn’t disclose that to the pilots,” he also said. “It’s not flying a whole new aircraft. It’s still a 737.”
