H&R Block’s New CEO Was the Former President of This Company

H&R Block, the tax prepare service company just announced a new CEO and it’s a former executive at Uber.

Jeff Jones is now H&R Block’s new president and chief executive effective October 9th. He was previously the president of ride hailing service company Uber. Before that, he worked as an executive at Target from 2012 to 2016 as the chief marketing officer and is credited with modernizing the retailer’s brand.

Jones will be replacing interim CEO Tom Gerke at H&R Block. Gerke will stay on board as general counsel and chief administrative officer.
