Five people were injured a shooting in Joplin, Missouri, after Tom S Mourning II opened fire on a church van and pick up truck.

The five victims have been identified as Kenneth Eby, Karen Mech, Heidi Gustin, Donal Pugh and Debbie Pugh. Two of the churches comfort dogs were injured in the shooting as well.

The victims were sitting in a church van at a traffic light when they were shot by 26-year-old Mourning.

Thankfully nobody was killed in the act, and Mourning surrendered at 5:22am, just 15 minutes after he started shooting.
‘We are very grateful that these victims do not appear to have life-threatening wounds because of this act,’ Mayor Mike Seibert said.

Mourning has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of unlawful use of a weapon, according to the Newton County Prosecutor’s Office. His bond is set at $300,000.
