Ground Floor Opportunity in Today’s Fastest-Growing Medical Spaces
Fast-Moving Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF) Offers Potential at a Critical Time
The global coronavirus outbreak has not only changed all of our lives in a significant way…
It has also begun to dramatically change how medical services are provided.
The current pandemic has resulted in massive worldwide demand for access to testing for COVID-19 as well as soaring growth in the area of telemedicine.
One fast-moving company has taken swift action to provide critical health solutions to the world’s most pressing medical problems – in a time of significant need.
That company is an under-the-radar Canadian company: Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF).
As an investment issuer, Blackhawk Growth Corp. has the ability to move quickly ahead of the most significant trends in the marketplace…and that’s precisely what the company has done in the area of global health.
With three primary investments – including a potentially groundbreaking telemedicine platform and distribution rights to much-needed COVID-19 test kits – Blackhawk Growth Corp. is well-positioned to benefit from the recent upswing in the healthcare sector.
Blackhawk Growth Corp. will be Distributing Point-of-Care COVID-19 Tests That Are Now in High Demand
Medical authorities are in agreement that the key to helping our society “flatten the curve” – and return to a more normal course of business – is to make reliable COVID-19 testing more readily available.
Providing immediate access to that testing is the crucial global need that Blackhawk Growth Corp. has stepped up to meet.
Through the company’s agreement with Emergence Technology Pty Ltd., Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF) now has the rights to distribute Innovita’s 2019-nCoV Ab test kit used in the detection of COVID-19 in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
At a time when the world is in the midst of a global pandemic – and with a desperate need for available, reliable tests that deliver rapid results – Blackhawk Growth Corp. has stepped up to provide an efficient solution, distributing tests when they are needed most.
Innovita’s COVID-19 rapid diagnostic test is a point-of-care test (POCT), that can be used in clinics, hospitals, pathology labs or in remote sites administered by healthcare professionals.
Over 14 million Innovita COVID-19 testing kits have been deployed worldwide to date, primarily in China and Australia.
The COVID-19 rapid test is a small disposable kit based on lateral flow colloidal gold-based detection technology that detects viral specific IgG/IgM antibodies present in a few drops of blood from a finger-prick.
The results are obtained within 3 to 15 minutes and do not require specialized laboratory equipment such as those that use real-time RT-PCR (reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction) technology.
The test consists of a small device that requires only 10 microliters of patient serum or plasma, or 20 microliters of whole blood, which is loaded on one end of the strip together with a buffer mix, which then mixes with COVID-19 spike proteins (S) labelled with colloidal gold and migrates along the device to an area of immobilized antibodies that captures COVID-19 specific antibodies.
If virus specific IgG or IgM antibodies from the patient are present, compounds are formed, which show up as a distinctive purple band on the strip.
As global cases exceed 3.7 million and continue to rise, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general of the World Health Organization, has emphasized the critical need to escalate testing, isolation and contact tracing efforts: “We have a simple message for all countries: test, test, test.”iii
Blackhawk Growth Corp. Secures Initial
Purchase Order for COVID-19 Antibody Tests
This initiative by Blackhawk Growth Corp. is already underway, as just recently – on April 29 – the company announced that it had secured an initial purchase order for 1,000 COVID-19 antibody testing kits with a healthcare clinic in Rocklin, California.
This order raises the visibility of the company and its ability to deliver tests in California – the world’s fifth-largest economy – and it could be a potential stepping-stone that could lead to further orders in the weeks ahead.
Innovita currently manufactures 200,000 test kits per day and Blackhawk is working to be able to distribute a significant portion of those kits in all authorized jurisdictions, allowing for a significant potential impact in the global fight against the coronavirus.
Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF) CEO Frederick Pels said of this initial order,
“This opportunity is intended to showcase what we can do… we’re moving at an incredible pace. We look forward to expanding our reach in the United States as we work to close more deals we are currently negotiating as quickly as possible.”
But the company’s investment in the delivery of COVID-19 testing kits is just one of the critical areas of need that Blackhawk Growth Corp. is addressing during this time of need.
Blackhawk Growth Corp. is an Early Mover in Canada’s Rapidly-Growing Telemedicine Industry
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in a number of meaningful – and permanent – ways.
One of these is an increase in the emergence of telemedicine.
With the virus so prevalent and easily spread, most people are reluctant to venture out to visit their doctor for routine care or to manage illness.
Hospitals are now seeing low rates of visits and doctors are having trouble finding a way to keep up and manage their patients’ chronic conditions.
And nowhere is this problem more prevalent – and underserved – than in Canada, the world’s second-largest land mass, where many patients live in remote locations or have difficulty getting out.
Blackhawk Growth Corp.’s telemedicine platform, Talk to Doc, is an on-line clinic that serves this urgent need by connecting doctors to their existing patients and allows new patients near-instant access to a doctor from the comfort of their home.
This platform – www.talktodoc.ca — will look to work directly with medical clinics and their doctors, in a range of specialties, with the ability to serve thousands of patients across Canada, providing a true stay-at-home solution for medical treatment nationwide.
The platform was jointly built in tandem with Heally, Inc., a San Francisco based telemedicine company. Using a revenue split model, both Heally and Blackhawk intend to rapidly develop the platform in Canada.
Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF) is working to partner with doctors and clinics to bring their complete virtual front and back office capabilities to their existing clientele.
Setup is free and easy for patients and the fully HIPAA-compliant platform allows them to access doctors across Canada at any time.
In addition, the company’s pharmacy delivery extension – Talk to Doc Rx – will allow doctors to send their prescriptions directly to participating pharmacies that will then deliver fulfilled prescriptions directly to their patient’s homes.
Delivering Shelf-Stable Baked Goods Without Preservatives
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, shelf stable foods have seen a surge. As people prepare for the worst case scenarios, they have found their options to be limited to canned preservatives and bare grains.
There’s finally another option – one that solves two problems.
The first, creating a new variety for shelf stable foods…and second, allowing for baked goods to be delivered to any store in any region without the worry of wasting or spoiling.
That’s where Blackhawk Growth Corp.’s third investment – NuWave Foods – enters the picture.
NuWave Foods specializes in preservative-free shelf-stable baked goods with a current focus on doughnuts and cakes. The company has a process to create a shelf-stable baked product without the use of any preservatives.
This can be applied to virtually any baked good. Given the current world climate, demand for products with shelf stability has skyrocketed.
Using NuWave’s considerable contacts in the food industry across North America, NuWave is positioned to quickly be a leader in this rapidly growing space.
Why Consider Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF) Today
The potential for Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF) is truly extraordinary.
The company’s early entry into Canada’s large – and underserved – telemedicine market brings significant upside potential.
Think of it this way:
Imagine getting in on the ground floor of a company like Teladoc Health (NYSE: TDOC), the U.S.-based leader in virtual healthcare services.
Teladoc Health now has a market cap of roughly US$13 billion.
Obviously Blackhawk Growth Corp. is still in the early stages of realizing its comprehensive plan for telemedicine throughout Canada…but the company offers a potential ground-floor opportunity in an industry that has already seen tremendous growth – with more on the way.
Of course, companies already in the Canadian telemedicine space also show just how significant the potential for growth is with Blackhawk Growth Corp., whose market cap now stands at roughly US$6.8 million.
But keep this in mind: that comparison is only considering the potential value of Blackhawk Growth Corp.’s Talk to Doc platform.
The company’s other investments – including its potentially sizeable future distribution agreements for COVID-19 testing kits and its brick-and-mortar NuWave Foods – are essentially “extra” valuation potential when considering the upside for Blackhawk Growth Corp. (CSE: BLR); (FRA: OJJ); (OTC: BLRZF).
Blackhawk Growth Corp. is moving forward in addressing some of today’s most important health needs.
