GoPro Just Launched A New Program That Might Excite Customers

If you are looking to get GoPro’s new Hero5 Black or Hero5 Session but want to save money, GoPro is helping with that.
The company has just launched its very first trade-in program in an effort to boost sales.

Now if you want a Hero5 Black, you can get $100 off if you send in your older GoPro Hero. You can also get $50 off for a Hero5 Session.

For anybody interested, you just go to GoPro’s TradeUp web page and after selecting the camera you want, check out, and then send your old Hero back to the company. The shipping is on GoPro and once the company has your old device, they will ship your new Hero5 Black or Session.

The older cameras could probably fetch more on Ebay or Craig’s List, but this could be a lot faster and less of a hassle for those who don’t want to wait for an interested buyer of their old device.

The best part is that your old camera doesn’t even have to be in great condition. GoPro said it will accept even destroyed or dented cameras.

On the TradeUp FAQ page, GoPro wrote, “Cameras can be in any condition – working or not – to be eligible for the Trade-Up Program. Cameras can be dead, missing components or even melted in a fire, and we will take them.”

Don’t wait too long deciding because this program is only going to last for a limited time. There is no word yet however on when it will end.

The company has faced underwhelming earnings reports in recent quarters and a program like this could help sales.
