Domino’s is Helping to Fix America’s Streets.. Literally
You know that pothole on so-and-so street that you hate driving around? Domino’s might fix it.
Yes, Domino’s, the pizza company that also serves other stuff, is taking on America’s infrastructure by fixing potholes.
The company is giving grants to local communities to fill potholes and has partnered with towns and cities in the U.S. to do it.
Four towns in Texas, Delaware, California, and Georgia, have had hundreds of potholes repaved with Domino’s slogan on it and “Oh yes we did.”
Domino’s spokeswoman, Jenny Fouracre, has said that the company will provide grants to up to 20 towns. Each town will receive the same amount of money, but no amount was given.
She said to CNBC in an email, “We care about our customers and how we can make their experience better, we often try to focus on existing tensions that could impact their interaction with our brand. Clearly we hit on a big one — potholes — and what they can do to your pizza.”
Domino’s will be taking nominations for the next 12 weeks and has received thousands of entries already.
“We expect lots of good customer engagement over the summer on this program,” Fouracre added.
