At least 59 victims have died in a mass shooting over the weekend that happened in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The shooting started around 10pm on Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival. Over 500 people were injured during the the massacre that was orchestrated by 64 year old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada.

The gunman shot down at the music festival from his hotel room window at the Mandalay Bay hotel across the road, located on the south side of the Las Vegas Strip.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, Paddock was found dead in his room on the 32nd floor of the hotel from an apparent suicide.

According to the FBI, Paddock has no connection to international terrorism and acted alone.

For one reason or another, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the tragic event but offered no evidence.

“We have determined to this point no connection with an international terrorist group,” the FBI said.

“We will continue to work with our partners to ensure that this is factually, thoroughly and absolutely investigated to be able to bring comfort and peace back to this community.”

This is an ongoing investigation.

President Trump tweeted, “My warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting. God bless you!”

The President called the tragic event an “act of pure evil.”
