Bud Fox Called In On Ruby Tuesday’s (RT) Earnings Call
Ruby Tuesday just had their Q2 earnings call and Bud Fox was one of the callers. Bud Fox was the character Charlie Sheen played in the memorable movie “Wall Street.” The caller who posed as Fox, asked CEO JJ Buettgen if the burger chain’s business had been affected by the death of Harambe.
Harambe was the gorilla that had been shot at the Cincinnati Zoo several weeks back when a child fell into his habitat.
The caller also said they worked for the Geneva Roth Holding Corporation which was a fictional company from “Wall Street.”
If you want some laughs, check out the actual exchange that took place on the call:
Operator: “Our next question comes from Buddy Fox with Geneva Roth Holding Corporation.”
Buddy Fox: “I just have one question. Do you think your revenues are negatively impacted by Harambe’s death and if yes, do you have any plans to mitigate it?”
JJ Buettgen: “Excuse me, can you repeat your question please? Impacted by what?”
Fox: “By Harambe’s death and if yes, do you have plans to mitigate it?”
Buettgen: “I am sorry. I don’t know we have a bad connection. I couldn’t quite hear the question.”
Operator: “He has lost connection.”
He may have lost connection, or hung up, but he got the joke in.
