Bitcoin Just Soared Over $12,000 For the First Time

Cryptcurrency Bitcoin has done it again.

It has soared to a brand new record high. The digital currency has been making and breaking records all year long and even a slight pull back last month couldn’t keep it down.

Bitcoin passed the $12,000 mark for the first time on Tuesday. It was only a week ago that the digital currency soared past $10,000.

CoinDesk.com has said that Bitcoin was just under $12,200 as of 10:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

Who knows how much farther it can go, but it’s already made Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the first billionaires in the bitcoin arena.

The twins had $11 million in the cryptocurrency when it was just $120 and with it over $11,700, their value is at over $1 billion.
