American Airlines is Apologetic for Kicking Two Black Basketball Players off Plane
American Airlines has issued an apology for kicking off two black pro basketball players off of a plane after they were accused of stealing airline blankets.
A black flight attendant had accused passengers Memphis Hustle guard Marquis Teague and forward Trahson Burrell of stealing the blankets. The flight was headed to Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Sunday at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
Two first class passengers had given their blankets to the players but the flight attendant accused them of stealing and then forced them off the plane.
The players later flew on first class to Sioux Falls.
