Amazon.com, Berkshire Hathaway, and JPMorgan Announce Name for Joint Healthcare Company
It was last January that three major companies decided to create together a new venture that would help many people.
On Wednesday, Berkshire Hathaway, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Amazon, revealed the name of their joint healthcare company.
The company will be called Haven and will be focusing on better primary care access, simpler insurance benefits, as well as more affordable prescription drugs for their employees.
The three companies have 1.2 million employees and Haven will work to improve the healthcare of these employees and their families in the U.S.
According to the company’s website, which also launched on Wednesday, Haven will share its findings with outsiders too.
According to Atul Gawande, who is Haven’s CEO, the company plans to start small and expand.
The company is “interested in working with clinicians and insurance companies to improve the overall health care system,” according to the website.
