Aetna Ditches 70% Of The Counties in Obamacare

Earlier this week Aetna made a huge announcement, announcing that it would be leaving 70% of the counties in which the insurer offers insurance through the Affordable Care Act’s public healthcare exchanges.

Aetna is one of the largest insurers in the United States and is the third large insurer, after United Healthcare and Humana, to significantly reduce its Obamacare business.

It makes perfect sence that Aetna would want to pull back on its business as the insurer loss $200 million in the second quarter alone from the exchange business.
